I have been a member of Lockerz.com for a few weeks now. I haven’t gotten my first redemption but I am hoping to get one this April.

The French Quarter

I thought that the Philippines is the only place that has places with buildings from the olden times (not very old, just a decade ago). I was amazed to know that New Orleans has buildings and hotels inspired with classic designs. They have a neighborhood there called French Quarters which is a national historic landmark. There are many beautiful New Orleans hotels French Quarter which drives many local and international tourists to the place.

By the way, when New Orleans was founded in 1718, the French Quarter is the center of all.

One of my favorite pastimes is to watch trailers, funny commercials and videos at YouTube.com. When I was viewing videos, I was able to bump into Howie Madel’s funny commercials for Buy.com. Most of his commercials are serious looking but very funny. The latest commercial was with his son. Check out the commercial below:

Updates Here and There!

Another week is almost over and I am not excited. My weekdays and weekends have been the same ever since I got pregnant. I sleep, I eat and I rest and most of the time talking to myself. Since I can’t play with my son that often because I easily tire or having tummy pains, I usually find myself in bed and my son playing with my PC or coloring his books. When my hubby is around, both of them play while he condemns me to rest and rest because I am utterly useless. Gesh! What a life!

Anyway, I tried to update my blogs and do some blog hopping. Then, I noticed that most bloggers have been posting about Zenni Optical being featured at the New York Times. And then I said, Zenni Optical in the New York Times?! That is totally cool! So, I checked out just to validate the article the New York Times published, Seeing Straight Without Breaking Bank. Money from Old Textbooks

I guess being a rat pack runs in the family. My grandfather, my mother, my father, my siblings, my relatives and even I definitely have it. We keep things that others might call rubbish but we call it sentimental or useful someday.

Oh well, I never thought that being a rat pack will come in handy someday…as in financially handy! I have seen a website wherein you can sell your old and in good condition textbooks. All you have to do is key-in the ISBN of each book and they will assess it and tell you how much it’s worth. Once you are agreeable with price, you send them the books. Then, they will pay you once the textbooks are received.

With this cool concept in mind, I want to sell my textbooks! I definitely have a bunch full of engineering related textbooks and all are in good condition.
