Working Hard
I had been working really hard day and night, seven days a week. Yep, there is really no day off to what I am doing. While it may be okay to work at home and have a flexible time in order to be able to spend with family and friends, it is kinda difficult to take a leave of absence because that means “no work, no pay.”
But sometimes, I cannot help it but imagine a nice Outer Banks vacation and bask in their sunny beaches or visit their historical places. Why Outer Banks in North Carolina? Well, I guess it is because aside from the leisurely lifestyle of this suburban American town, I believe that my kids will learn a lot from their town’s history. I believe that a vacation should serve several purposes, not just play and relaxation but also for learning, albeit in a different kind of way.
Oh well, I guess for now we will just settle with something near our place so that we will not have to spend much and we will not be gone for a long time.
