Better Job Placement Solution

Posted by admin . Filed under Musings | 1 Comment

I know a lot of people in our place who are very talented. But the only problem is that their talents are not utilized to the fullest. Everywhere I look, I see people who are full of potential. They belong to various fields. But since job openings are scarce, their talents waste away. Sad, but it’s a fact. If only the government could do something about it then perhaps jobs will be given to those who truly deserve it.

If I were an employee of the labor department, I would delegate one of my staff to maintain a website. A job board, if you may, where all available jobs will be posted. It doesn’t matter what the job is. It could be a blue collar job or a white collar job. It could be any type of job but the main thing here is all openings will be available for all to see. There wouldn’t be any need to go to a man pooling agency because jobseekers can just go online and apply for the job they want right away. I believe this is how they post “wanted” ads in the USA. They simply write the position and location of the job and post it online. I saw one ad, probably for several openings under Cedar Rapids and the ad simply read home builders cedar rapids ia. It’s very simple yet very effective.

Now if only the same could be said here. If finding a job here, a job that’s suited to the expertise of a jobseeker, was that easy then there probably wouldn’t be any jobless person here. Then everyone will be happy and the world will be a happier place to live in. Oh. If only. Maybe I should write an open letter to the labor department and share them my thoughts. What do you think?

I was just reading today about people who lost jobs, but took a different strategy and became millionaires. Perhaps, if jobless people would follow the principles of great men, such as Napoleon Hill, Booker T. Washington, Henry Ford… just to name a few… their talents won’t be wasted.
