The Glory of the Past

Posted by admin . Filed under Musings | No Comments

Sometimes, I get to think about the past. Not my immediate past, but the people of long ago, like the cave dwellers or the people during the stone age. I mean, before fire was discovered, people ate fresh produce. They pick fruits and vegetables and eat them raw. I don’t think they even washed them. Not only they survived but they were also healthy and lived long.

But in our present times, things are soooo complicated. We have gadgets and gizmos but we seem unhealthier than ever. We have to take a lot of multivitamins, antioxidants, weight loss pills, minerals, herbals, among many others if we want to become healthy and live long. Sometimes, the supplements can get really expensive and there is really no such thing as a cure all so you have to spend much. Since times are hard, do we have to remain this way? Sometimes I think it is better to live in the past with their simple lives and yet they are happy and healthy.
