God Provided Her Need Not My Want

When I knew I was pregnant with my third baby, I was so happy and excited. I never thought that I will be pregnant again after I lost my third pregnancy back in 2007. The thought of having a miracle in my arms somehow gave me happiness inside my heart that I couldn’t explain.

Because of this sheer happiness and excitement, every time we go to the mall, I always make it sure that we passed by at least one baby boutique because I want to check out their displays on the things that I want my baby to have like an Oeuf nursery furniture, baby accessories, baby dresses, strollers, nursery decor and more. I find it very satisfying just doing some window shopping!

When I knew that my baby was a girl, I started to save money for her basic needs. I was also lucky that even if I am not from this city, few of my friends here gave me hand-me-downs. Aside from that, they gave me new sets of baby toiletries. I also got a lot of free diaper samples from an event that I attended that when she was born, she was able to use it for almost a month.

But when my baby was born, we got into too many financial difficulties that all my plans for her room were not accomplished. They nursery decor that I have been eyeing for months was not bought because of our financial hard-ups. But thank God, we were still able to buy here a stroller, a walker, a crib and some baby dress that she needed as every demand comes. I was also blessed that some of her god parents from abroad sent her dresses that she could use when she goes to church.

Though my plans were not met, I am still thankful to God that my baby’s needs were all meant. God provided what she needed and not what I have wanted for her. Aside from these, God also sent angels to make my daughter’s hernia surgery successful! I can’t thank God enough for that and the people who helped her.
