Virtual Aquarium
Thursday, October 29th, 2009My son wanted me to buy an aquarium and put dozens of fish in it. He wanted me to buy decorations and those that create bubbles like pond pumps. I told him it’s expensive and no one can maintain it. He felt bad but has no choice.
Then few weeks ago, I started playing Fish World and Happy Aquarium at FaceBook. When my kids saw me playing, they also wanted to have their own accounts. Well, since it is much cheaper to maintain a virtual aquarium than a real one, I agreed to their request. So, my son and even her sister are now enjoying their virtual aquarium with all the decorations they need and want! What a great savings!
To Buy or Not to Buy
Friday, October 23rd, 2009Just the other day, I asked my husband if our plans to buy a transportation vehicle will pursue this year. He replied “YES.” So I said, that is good to know because I have a gut feeling that it would probably not come true since we are bombarded with too many financial obligations. To think that we also need to request for reliable auto insurance quotes to go with the vehicle’s registration and other legal processing. Getting a vehicle entails more than the vehicle itself but it also need registrations and all!
Anyway, though I am not that convinced, I am still crossing my finger and hoping that we will be able to get one. It will be a great help for us especially when we decide to move to another place.
Bags, Wallets and Shoes
Thursday, October 22nd, 2009I don’t really remember where I posted my musings about my love for bags and wallets, if it was here or in my main blog. But anyway, I do love collecting bags and wallets. I just don’t know why but I really like to have different styles and color. Though I like collecting them, it does not mean I have plenty of bags and wallets. Unfortunately, I only have one wallet and a few bags. My old wallets were really worn out that I have to ditch them. My bags on the other hand are all given to me. Some of my collection where sold a few years back when I was really in need of money.
Now, due to the lack of it, I wanted to buy new pair of shoes – not collect. Since I resigned from work, I have no descent shoes anymore. I only have slippers and no more sandals. My old one retired a long time ago. I planned to buy one sandal and one formal shoe that are made of leather like Naot. At least if they are made of leather, they will last long and I don’t need to buy another pair again.
Effects of Typhoon Ondoy and Pepeng
Saturday, October 17th, 2009Force Majeure or Acts of God is always excluded in most insurance policies. After the onslaught of Typhoon Ondoy and Pepeng in the Philippines, many private houses and vehicles were damaged by the floods waters and most owners were not able to claim insurances benefits. So, they are left with their own money to rehabilitate their houses and repair their vehicles and buy their car accessories again.
Good thing that some people donated food and clothing to the victims. Somehow it lessen their problems and be able to stand again!
Cool Refrigerators!
Tuesday, October 13th, 2009I really thought that water filters are only used in the kitchen sink if you want tap water filtered. Little did I know that there are refrigerator water filters?! They are installed in refrigerators that automatically generate ice and cold water from tap. Well, in the US, most refrigerators installed in new and bigger homes have that kind of capacity but here in our place, we do it all manually.
Anyway, it would be cool to have such refrigerator installed in my kitchen! That would mean more time for me!
