Yes! It was just like few days ago when I initiated a major blog makeover! And now, I did another one. Well, aside from the Christmas template, I really thank God that I was able to successfully transfer my Blogger hosted blog to my very own self-hosted WordPress blog. That is right! I am now blogging at my very own self-hosted WordPress blog!! Isn’t that cool!!
Anyway, it was not that easy. After waiting for almost three long hours, I was able to finish all the import and export transaction so that I will be able to see my posts here. It also took me about a week to gather my guts to transfer it with confidence. I have no background on this stuff but only from reading and googling tutorials of all sorts. Honestly, theory is there but it really needs a streak of confidence to transfer it especially without experience.
Well, it’s not finish yet. I may have changed the nameservers to my hosting but I haven’t transferred my domain registration to my very own GoDaddy account. Though I own the domain, it’s still hooked with gApps. I paid around $7.00 plus just to get that easy button transfer but unfortunately it didn’t work for me. If your domain was bought under gApps, you need to go through a massive back pains and countless coffee served in mugs just to dig for answers. As of now, I haven’t been successful yet. I will blog about it soon and share my experiences. I wouldn’t allow this to ruin the exuberant feeling of successfully transferring something that I have no experience whatsoever.
Oh well! At least my blog is now celebrating Christmas New Year (changed template around 8am in the morning)!!
